The Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, extended its support to flood-affected members of the Blind Society of Sri Lanka through a donation programme conducted on 05 December 2025.
A total of 78 members of the Blind Society, who were severely impacted by the recent floods across the country, received dry-ration packs along with a 5 kg sack of rice. This initiative aimed to alleviate their immediate hardships and ensure that essential food supplies reached some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
The humanitarian effort was organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, chaired by Mrs. Bagya Thilakarathna, under the patronage of Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe. Their leadership and dedication were instrumental in coordinating the programme and ensuring the timely and compassionate delivery of assistance.
