The Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, under the initiative and guidance of the President Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Samanthi Lenora and the Base Commander, Group Captain Sanoj Jayaratne, conducted a donation programme to support families affected during this challenging period due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions. The initiative was successfully carried out with the collective support and contribution of all sections and formations of the base.
The distribution took place in the Prakramagama, Angammadilla, and Swarnapaligama areas, where selected families received dry rations, sanitary items and clothing. The items were distributed in the presence of the Acting Base Commander, Group Captain LS Jayaweera, together with members of the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda. The programme aimed to provide essential relief and promote community well-being during a time of heightened need.
