A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Master Warrant Officer AMSD Balawardhana (Air Frame) today (22 September 2026) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Rathmalketiya Diyakombala Bibila. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The project was fully funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, while construction was carried out by the Civil Engineering Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake. The initiative was implemented under the guidance of the Director General Constructions Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Pradeep Hewapathirana and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF RTC Amp Gp Capt Prabath Alexander.
The event was attended by the Director Ranaviru Welfare Gp Capt Dayan Sumanaseka, Commanding Officer SLAF RTC Amp Gp Capt Prabath Alexander and his spouse Mrs. Priyadarshani Kumarai Alexander, Secretary of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni along with members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, officers and other ranks of SLAF RTC Amp.
