The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit handed over a newly constructed classroom building with sanitary facilities to Kuda Oya Vidyalaya yesterday (24 July 2026), enhancing the learning environment for its students.
This project was fully funded by the Royal College Old Boys’ East Cost Foundation in USA, and it aims to improve the learning environment for children in the area. The school, located in a remote part of the Nuwara Eliya District, serves around 150 students.
The Seva Vanitha Unit facilitated the construction of two classrooms and supervised the project, with construction managed by the Directorate of Civil Engineering and coordination handled by SLAF Station Pidurutalagala.
The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Pidurutalagala, Group Captain Chinthaka Jayasundara, representatives of the Royal College Old Boys’ East Cost Foundation in USA and personnel of the Air Force attended the handover ceremony.
