Fourteen Airwomen graduated with National Vocational Qualification Level 3 certificates from both beautician and cake decorator courses at the graduation ceremony held today under the ‘SKILL WINGS’ programme, an initiative of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit aimed at empowering service personnel through vocational and professional development.
The training prgramme was conducted in collaboration with the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), providing participants with industry recognized skills and qualifications that enhance both their professional competencies and future career opportunities.
The occasion was graced by the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanith Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Ediringhe and the Director General NAITA, Dr. WMS Wijesinghe, Director Training, Mr. Asitha Rathnayaka and several other officials from NAITA. Apprentices from cake decorator and beautician courses were awarded certificates from the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanith Unit and the Director General of NAITA.
The “SKILL WINGS” programme continues to serve as a valuable platform for empowering Air Force personnel through vocational education and skills development, contributing to personal growth, career advancement and national workforce development to pave the way for a sustainable future of the Service personnel.
