The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit successfully organized the International Women’s Day Celebration – 2026 in collaboration with British Cosmetics, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, on 04 March 2026 at the Eagles’ Lagoon View Hotel, Katunayake.
The programme was organized with the objective of promoting wellness, confidence and personal development among women personnel, while celebrating the important role and contribution of women.
The event featured several engaging activities including an energetic Zumba session, which created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere among participants. A beauty and self-care session, conducted with the collaboration of British Cosmetics, provided valuable guidance on personal grooming, skincare and overall well-being.
The programme also included insightful guest speaker sessions conducted by Dr. Shanika Arusakularathne and Dr. Sulochana Sigera, who shared valuable knowledge and experiences on health, personal development and women’s empowerment, greatly inspiring the participants.
A large number of women personnel participated in the programme and actively engaged in the sessions, creating a vibrant and positive environment throughout the event.
