The SLAF Seva Vanitha unit recently organized the "Guwan Randaru Siththam" Art competition in line with upcoming World Children's Day 2023. Approximately 400 children of serving members of the Air Force enthusiastically participated in this competition across 24 Air Force establishments.
The selection of winners took place at the Air Force Headquarters yesterday (18 September 2023), where the contestants were categorized into three different age groups. The judging panel consisted of Mr. Sudath Abeysekara, Managing Director of Art Way Gallery, Institute and Academy of Sri Lanka and Mrs. Achala Gunawardhane, an Art Teacher at Nugegoda Mahamaya College. The event was graced by the presence of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.
The prizes for the deserving winners of this art competition will be awarded during the Air Force Children's Day celebrations, scheduled to be held on 30 September 2023.
