A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to Flight Sergeant Perera KKND - (Operation Ground I) yesterday (21 September 2023) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Gamameda para, Katupotha. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Udula Wijesinghe and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mirigama, Group Captain Sanath Fernando.
The event was attended by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mirigama, as well as the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other ranks of SLAF Station Mirigama.
