Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Colombo organized a cooked food programme at Sri Saddarmodaya Vidyalaya Colombo-06 on 04 December 2023, in collaboration with the Institute for Ethical Research and Innovation (Private) Limited Colombo 07. The initiative, guided by Mrs. Anusha Dharshi, President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Colombo and supervised by Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore HWR Chandima, aimed to provide nutritious lunches to 100 students in grades 01 to 11. This effort addressed the nutritional needs of children from low-income families in the area, who face challenges in meeting basic educational needs due to financial constraints.
Following the guidelines, 100 lunch packets and yoghurts were donated. The event was attended by Wing Commander Harshani Katugampala, Officer in charge of the Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Colombo, Mrs. Sujeevi Senarathne, Mr. Kapila Perera and Mr. Mayura Senanayake from the Institute for Ethical Research and Innovation (Private) Limited, along with members of the Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Colombo, the school's principal, teachers and students of Sri Saddarmodaya Vidyalaya.
