EXPLORING CULINARY ARTISTRY

A baking workshop was organized Under the guidance of Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, for the ladies of SLAF including spouses. The event took place yesterday  (10 December 2023), at the "Rice Bowl" restaurant in the "Pearl Grand" hotel. Mrs. Emalka Hiranya Wickramaratne, the spouse of Director General Ground Operations Air Vice Marshal Chaminda Wickramaratne, conducted the cake-baking session.

The bun-baking session was led by SLAF Chef Master Warrant Officer RGS Priyankara in collaboration with Mr. Asela Watawala, the chef of the "Pearl Grand" hotel. This session included the baking of dinner rolls, burger buns, cookies, sweet buns, fish buns, etc. The workshop aimed to provide culinary experience in the preparation of various bakery items for domestic use.

The event saw the participation of spouses of the Air Force Board of Management. It was conducted as an interactive cookery program, with lady officers, airwomen, and wives of service personnel being the primary audience for this engaging culinary experience.
