A house constructed by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to Sergeant Dissanayaka GH – (Air Radio) today (11 January 2024) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Katana. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced this occasion as the chief guest.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, whilst the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Udula Wijesinghe and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana.

The event was attended by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Suresh Fernando and his spouse Mrs. Shanika Fernando, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport.
