Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo emerged overall champions in the annual road and walking race-2009, which was organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Council this morning (10 October 2009). Over 250 participants inclusive of Officers, Air men and women from various age groups representing all Air Force Bases/Camps took part at this event that concluded at the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo, sports grounds. The Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke was invited as the chief guest whilst the Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff and other higher ranking officers were also present.

Overall Champions - Sri Lanka Air Force Colombo -86 point
2^nd Place - Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake -32 points
3^rd Place - Sri Lanka Air Force Diyathalawa- 22 points
