New House for a Differently Able Hero
A newly built house was handed over to Flight Lieutenant NI Wellahewa by The Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrama at the auspicious time of 10.25 am on 05th April 2012.
Flight Lieutenant NI Wellahewa was disabled due to an Air Craft accident At Anuradhapura on 14th June 1997.
The construction was carried out by the Directorate of Civil Engineering under the supervision of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and the Directorate of Welfare.
Director Welfare Air Vice Marshal Anura Silva, Mrs. Mekala Silva and Officers representing the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and the Directorate of Welfare were also present at the occasion.
