A poster competition was held at the SLAF Base Katunayake to highlight the importance of saving electricity. Hundreds of posters were displayed in front of the “Astra Cinema” for all to view and admire. Of these the best three were selected by the panel.

The winner of the best poster was Squadron Leader Amarasinha whilst Cpl Thilaka and Mr: Iresha Priyadharashana were adjudged to have submitted the the second and third best poster.

The awards were distributed by the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Cdre CR Gurusinghe.
