SLAF Unit Mirigama celebrated its 5th anniversary on June 1st, 2012.The event was marked by a Blood donation campaign at SLAF Unit Mirigama on 24 may 12 with the participation of service personnel and civilians around the area. A medical clinic on 25 May 12 and Dental clinic on 26 May 12 were organized to provide free medical and dental treatments to civilians in the area.

Further, a cricket tournament was conducted comprising of Officers and Airmen alike and held a 10 over cricket match on 31 May 12 and on 1st June 2012 a parade was held in the morning followed by an all rank dinner.
