Commander’s Annual Inspection of the Sri Lanka Air Force Unit, BIA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama,
conducted the AOCs inspection at the Sri Lanka Air Force Unit,
Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake on 27 Jul
2012.
The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit SLAF Unit BIA, Group Captain Peterson Fernando and was accorded a street lining on arrival. During the course of the inspections the Commander covered all areas of the Unit .
Certificates of Commendation were awarded during the parade to 15180 Flight Sergeant Wimalasiri RD (Supplier Sp I), 15266 F/Sgt Muthukumarana PT(Catering Supervisor I), 20431 Sgt Kelum TBPC(Provost I), 36967 LAC Chaminda R(Clk GD II), 018457 LAC Nissanka HATN -Mason (III) and Mr. SGC Amarasinghe for the valuable service they rendered to the development of the Unit.
On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed the Officers, men and women of the Unit praising the commendable job they had done and encouraged them to set and reach even higher goals.
