Annual Oral Health Care Programme at The Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy
Under the Guidance of the
Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama and
Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Hon. Pradeep Nilanga Dela ,
Annual Oral Health Care Programme for the Maha Sanga and for the Staff
of Sri Dalada Maligawa was conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force on 26th
and 27th July of 2012 at Ran Auda Mandapaya, Sri
DaladaMaligawa,Kandy.
This programme was conducted for the second time which included both curative and preventive care, was headed by the Director Dental Services Air Vice Marshal Asoka Amunugama.
Over five hundred patients were treated with Advanced Mobile Dental equipments and a special guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Hemantha Amerasinghe, Consultant in Community Dentistry, and National Cancer Control Programme on the subject of Oral Cancer.
Also a series of lectures on common oral diseases and their prevention were conducted by the dental officers of the Air Force and all the participants were given a complementary pack which consisted of products useful in oral care.
