The Commander of the Air Force
Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama conducted the annual AOC’s inspection at Sri
Lanka Air Force Trade Training School (TTS) on 24 August
2012.
The Commanding Officer of TTS, Group Captain LD Gunawardena received the Commander of the Air Force and welcomed him with a Guard of Honour.
Commander declared open the Helitours Technical Training Centre, Lake view chalet, new MT Complex and the TTS History Photo Gallery during his tour. In addition, the Commander also launched a new website for the TTS (www.airforce.lk/ekala). Furthermore, the Commander inspected the innovative projects prepared by the various Trade trainees of the TTS and was impressed by the talents the trainees possessed.
During the address made by the Commander to all ranks, he congratulated all personnel for their efforts in the AOC preparations. He emphasized the need to achieve professional excellence through training and highlighted the importance of building up a balanced life through spiritual development.
