Annual Commander's Inspection SLAF Base Katunayake - 2012
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, conducted the AOC’s inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake on the 7th September 2012. The AOC's parade was commanded by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore DLS Dias.
Certificates of commendation were awarded during parade to the Airmen and Civilian staff for the valuable service they have rendered to the development of the Sri Lanka Air Force and the country.
During the inspection, the Commander also declared open the Melamine Project at the General Engineering Wing in this Base. On completing the inspection, the Commander addressed the officers and airmen and praise the commendable job they had done.
