Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama declared open the SLAF Disaster Management Training Centre at SLAF Station Mullaitivu on 27th September, 2012. The Disaster Management Training Centre will provide comprehensive Disaster Management training for Air Force personnel who take centre stage in disaster scenarios and other emergencies.

Director Operations, AVM GP Bulathsinghala, Director Training AVM K Yahampath, Gp Capt DCI Weerasooriya and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mullaitivu Wg Cdr PPH Pinnagoda were also present during the event.
