Annual Commander's Inspection at SLAF Station, Colombo - 2012
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama
conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection of the Air Force
Headquarters and the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo today (08th
November 2012).
The Commander was received by the
Commanding Officer SLAF Colombo Air Commodore KFR Fernando after being
accorded a street lining which was commanded by Flying Officer NP
Nonis.
During the course of the inspection the
Commander declared open the newly constructed Guard room and fruit juice
stall at the Headquarters and a Farm shop at the SLAF Station
Colombo.
The Commander awarded commendation
to 5 Warrant Officers, 19 SNCOs, 10 JNCOs, 2 airmen and 7 civilians for
their outstanding meritorious work. The Commander concluded the 2012
inspections by addressing all ranks of the Headquarters and Station. He
acknowledged the hard work of the personnel which went into preparing
for the inspection and thanked all for their efforts. The Commander also
highlighted the importance of implementing more new projects
maintaining the standards expected of the Air Force in the future as
well.
