Under the Patronage of the Base Commander Air Commodore  NHV Gunaratne,  SLAF Base Vavuniya organized a Sathi Pirith Ceremony to bless HE the President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Madhukandha Dalada Viharaya from 12 Nov to 18 Nov 2012.

The Sathi Pirith ceremony commenced on 12 Nov 2012 with the participation of a  personnel from the Army, Air Force, Police and civilians. GA Vavuniya Mr. Bandula Harischandra and SSP of the Vavuniya Division Hemantha Adhikari were also present at the occasion.
