SLAF Station Palaly Celebrates its 31st Anniversary

The 31st Formation Day celebration of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Palaly was held on 1st January 2013.

A parade was held at the newly constructed Parade Square and the parade was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Group Captain KKAK  Kaluarachchi. This was followed by an all ranks breakfast.

A Shramadana Programme was held at the Nagavihara temple in Jaffna with the active participation of the station personnel. The foundation to construct a new sub guard room was also initiated by the CO to mark the Formation Day.

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
