The Formation Day of SLAF Unit Piduruthalagala was commemorated on 5th January 2013.
    
The Formation Day celebrations began with a working parade held at the Unit premises and it was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Sqn Ldr DS Wickramarachchi. The event was also marked by a Blood Donation campaign at the International Buddhist Centre Nuwara Eliya with the participation of service personnel and civilians of the area. Further a ‘Boodhi Pooja’ was organized to invoke blessings on all serving personnel of the Unit and for its future endeavours.
