The First Batch of the “Anganpora” Trained SLAF Personnel Passed Out

The First batch of "Anganpora" trained SLAF personnel passed out on 11th January 2013 after a practical session carried out at the SLAF Base Ratmalana. Anganpora is a martial art that is indigenous to Sri Lanka and it was introduced to the SLAF six months ago. The first batch of trainees comprised of 38 SLAF personnel and the course was conducted by Ajantha Mahanthaarachchi.

Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the passing out ceremony.  Members of the Air Force Board of Management, officers and other ranks were also present at the event.



  

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
