The 15th Anniversary of SLAF Unit Bandaranaike International Airport was commemorated on 12th January 2013.

The celebrations commenced with a Blood Donation Campaign held at the Sooriya Deshikaramaya Temple. A Shramadhana Campaign was also held at the Lakshmi Children’s Home and orphanage followed by an alms giving.  

A ‘Pirith Chanting Ceremony was organized at the BIA to invoke blessings on future endeavours of the Unit and to also remember those who laid their lives whilst serving at this Unit.

An Inter Squadron/Section Cricket Tournament too was organized to celebrate the 15th Anniversary.
