Under the patronage of the Chairperson Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema, the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit organized an ‘Inter –Unit Live Cooking Competition’ which was aimed at identifying the hidden culinary and cookery skills of the SLAF personnel. The event was held on 27th February 2013 at the Rifle Green Ground SLAF Station Colombo, where the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama graced the event as the Chief Guest.

SLAF Station Colombo emerged overall champions whilst SLAF Base Ratmalana and SLAF Base Hingurakgoda finished as first runner-up and second runner-up respectively. SLAF Station Colombo was also selected as the ‘Best decorated display table’.
