The SLAF Fire Fighters assist to douse fire at the Kerawalapitiya
The SLAF Fire Fighters assisted to douse the fire which broke out at the palm oil industry at Kerawalapitiya oil storage area on 5th March 2013. The Fire Brigade, Army and the Navy were also involved in the operation.
The SLAF attached twenty one personnel, one Fire Vehicle and one Incident Control Vehicle to the site. The team of fire fighters was led by Officer in Charge of the SLAF Fire Unit Flight Lieutenant RCN Ranneththi.
