SLAF Culinary Experts Sharpen Their Skills

No. 1 Flight Kitchen and Culinary Training Course for year 2013 was conducted for SLAF Cat Asst from 08 Feb 2013 to 05 Mar 13 for a period of 17 Days at the Sri Lankan Catering Services. The course was organized by SLAF Unit BIA with the concurrence of Air Force Headquarters.

The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of HR Manager Mr. Chinthake Kulathilake and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit BIA Group Captain CB Labrooy. The Executive Chef Mr. Antony conducted the programme for the SLAF personnel.

As per the course curriculum the SLAF participants were educated on subjects such as Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Bakery, Confectionery, Finger Foods, Food Safety, and Food Hygiene. This valuable course has been offered by the Sri Lankan Catering services to maintain the cordial relationship it has with the SLAF.

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
