A New Information Technology Wing Opened at the SLAF Base Ratmalana
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama declared open the newly constructed Information Technology Wing at the Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana on 11th March 2013.
This newly constructed IT Wing consists of training labs, hardware workshop, electronic workshop, software labs, server room, network workshop and a network section. The establishment of this Wing enables the SLAF to provide IT services and solutions such as software development, hardware maintenance, network designing and implementation, multimedia designing etc under one roof.
Director Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Air Vice Marshal RJ Pathirage, Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya, Command Information Technology Officer Group Captain AS Vithana and Commanding Officer IT Wing SLAF Base Ratmalana A Hettiarachchi were also present at the opening.
