New No. 04 Squadron Hangar Opened at the SLAF Base Ratmalana
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama declared open the newly constructed hangar of the No. 04 Squadron at SLAF Base Ratmalana on 11th March 2013 during the Annual AOCs Inspection.
This hangar was completely designed and built by the personnel of the Directorate of Civil Engineering of the SLAF and is now capable of accommodating all aircraft which is in the squadron inventory. The facilities and rooms required to accommodate VVIPs and VIPs in the hangar whilst on transit is also available and the hangar is self contained in all engineering aspects.
Base Commander SLAF Ratmalana Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya and Commanding Officer No. 04 Squadron Wing Commander LC Dissanayake were also present at the opening.
