The Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Wing SLAF Katunayake celebrated its 55th Anniversary on 01st April 2013 giving prominence to social and religious activities.

The Formation Day religious ceremony was held at Wing premises with Ven Katukende Vijitha Thera, Rev FR Deshen Perera, Al Haj Maulavi AMM Luthufi and Kurukkal Kugarasa Sarma Kageshwaran presiding the ceremony.
 
The Director Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering AVM RJ Pathirage and the first Director of the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Branch, Gp Capt HAD Ranasinghe (Retd) graced the occasion.

The working parade held at the Wing premises was reviewed by the Actg Commanding Officer, Wg Cdr KMGB Priyakantha. As part of the 55th Anniversary celebration of the E&TE Wing the families of deceased Cpl Weerasooriya WMPN (Tele Mech) and Mr. Saman Kumara (Civil Linesman) were visited and financial assistances extended to them.
