Air Force Beach Volleyball players create history

The National Beach Volleyball team which will take part at the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship in Thailand from 08 to 16 April 2013 is entirely from the Sri Lanka Air Force in both the men’s and women’s categories. Further, the two coaches and the masseur are also from the SLAF. These volleyball players have performed extremely well during the recent past and won the senior and junior championships in both men’s and women’s categories at the recently conclude National Beach Volleyball Championships held in Arugam Bay.

This is considered as a first in the annals of the Sri Lanka’s sports history, where an entire national team is represented by a single organization.

The composition of the National Beach Volleyball team is as follows
