Fire Evacuation Drill at Lanka Hospital

Sri Lanka Air Force Fire Fighters in collaboration with the Colombo Fire Unit carried out a Fire Evacuation drill at the Lanka Hospital, Colombo on 03rd May 2013.

During the demonstration the SLAF firemen conducted several rescue tactics such as Aerial rope rescue and high angle rescue using the Bronto sky-lifter. The crew also demonstrated   operating and using of ‘Jumping Sheet’ which was placed on the ground.

29 SLAF personnel participated in the Fire Evacuation Drill and also the Chief Fire Officer Group Captain PMCP Dias and Officer in Charge of the SLAF firefighters Squadron Leadre KIPM Patabandige guided the SLAF Fire fighters to perform the evacuation drill successfully.
