The introductory session on Angampora training for children of SLAF personnel was conducted on 08 May 2013 at the Ex-Servicemen Conference Hall SLAF Station Colombo. The main intention of this initiative is to promote the martial art and to inculcate a basic knowledge of the art to students studying in grades eight to twelve.  Angampora is a martial art that is indigenous to Sri Lanka and it was introduced to the SLAF recently on the directives of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama.
