Distress Relief for NOKs of Deceased Servicemen, DIA, Serving Members and AF Civilians
With the intention of facilitating a request made by the NOKs of deceased servicemen, the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama authorized financial grants and interest-free loans as a distress relief initiative for NOKs of deceased servicemen, servicemen disabled in action, serving members and Air Force Civilians.
Relief was granted to NOKs of three deceased service members, six personnel who were disabled in action, two serving members and one Air Force civil employee this morning (16 May 13) at the Seva Vanitha Unit AFHQ Colombo, under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF SVU Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema.
Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera the Director Welfare, Officers, the NOKs of deceased servicemen, serving personnel Civilians and family members were also present at the ceremony.
