Distress Relief for NOKs of Servicemen who were KIA and for Family Members of Serving Personnel
With an intention to facilitate the request made by the NOKs of those servicemen Killed in Action (KIA), the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama authorized financial grants as a distress relief initiative for NOKs of KIA servicemen and for deserving family members of serving personnel.
Relief was granted to NOKs of two KIA service members through the Ranaviru Welfare Fund (RWF) and two differently-able siblings of a serving airman to purchase hearing aids through the Central Welfare & Rehabilitation Fund (CW&RF) this morning (7th Jun 13) at the Seva Vanitha Unit AFHQ Colombo, under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF SVU Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema.
Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera the Director Welfare, Officers, the NOKs of KIA servicemen, serving personnel and family members were also present at the ceremony.
