The Passing Out Ceremony Of The 54th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course
The passing out ceremony of the 54th Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at the Combat Training School auditorium of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 17th June 2013. Air Commodore NHV Gunaratne, Deputy Director Operations (Ground), of the Sri Lanka Air Force graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Air Commodore JP Wanigatunga - the Acting Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay participated on behalf of Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya the Commandant of the Academy whilst The Commanding Officer of the Non Commissioned Officers’ Management School, Group Captain CJ Batagoda and the academic staff also participated in the event.
This comprehensive course in Management is accredited by the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded a Certificate in Management. The 54th batch comprises 48 Senior Non Commissioned Officers, 37 Junior Non Commissioned Officers, 2 Army Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 2 Naval Petty Officers.
Flight Sergeant Rohana MA (Air Frame Fitt Sp) was adjudged the Best Student in Management while Sergeant Bandara MMAR (Physiotherapist) was adjudged the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer and Corporal Herath HMKT (Clk GD Sp I) was adjudged the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer.
