Dengue Prevention Campaign Conducted by SLAF Base Katunayake

In consideration of the commencement of the Southwest monsoon season Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake launched a dengue prevention campaign within the Camp premises on 20th June 2013 with the view of preventing a possible dengue outbreak.

All susceptible areas, where mosquitoes could breed were cleaned and sprayed with chemicals to prevent breeding. This campaign was conducted with the contribution of all formations of SLAF Base Katunayake, under the guidance of the Base Commander Air Cdre SK Pathirana.
