With an intention to facilitate the request made by the NOKs of those servicemen Killed in Action (KIA), Disabled in Action (DIA) and Deceased service members, the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama authorized financial grants as a distress relief initiative for NOKs and for deserving family members of serving personnel.

Relief was granted to NOKs of one deceased service member through the Central Welfare & Rehabilitation Fund (CW&RF), one KIA service member and two DIA service personnel through the Ranaviru Welfare Fund (RWF) and one serving member under the Volunteer Pay Scheme (VPS) this morning (18 July 13) at the Seva Vanitha Unit AFHQ Colombo, under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF SVU Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema.

Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera the Director Welfare, Officers, the NOKs of deceased servicemen, serving personnel Civilians and family members were also present at the occasion.
