Annual AOC’s Inspection at SLAF Base Katunayake
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, conducted the AOC’s inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake on the 6th September 2013.
The Commander was formally welcomed by the AOC’s parade, commanded by the Base Commander, Air Commodore SK Pathirana. Certificates of commendation were awarded during the parade to 04 Warrant Officers, 08 SNCOs, 02 Corporals, 01 Airmen and 01 Civilian for their meritorious contribution to the Base in particular and to the Air Force in general.
During the course of the inspections the Commander visited all areas of the Base and declared open the “Mini Golf Couse” which is located in the Base.
Concluding the AOC’s inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the base and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
