29th Formation Day Celebrated at SLAF Unit Koggala
An eventful day of community services, recreational and religious activities marked the celebration of the 29th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Air Force Unit Koggala under the guidance of the Commanding Officer Wing Commander SC Wijayanayake together with all Officers, other rankers and civil staff on 19th October 2013.
Coinciding with the Formation day celebrations a Shramadana Campaign was conducted at “Sambodi Niwasaya” Galle, an orphanage for differently abled personnel on last Tuesday. The event was organized in order to meet the much needed requirement of uplifting the living condition of fifty two residents of the orphanage.
The Formation day celebrations began with a parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer. This was followed by a religious observance and also a spirited Elle and Netball tournament, which all enjoyed with great pleasure. The event was concluded with an all ranks lunch.
