Young Aviators Participated in their Second Session of Aviation Fundamentals

Air Force Museum concluded a one-day workshop on “Aircraft Landing Gear Systems” for Young Aviators recently. This programme was the second session for the students who have completed the“Aviation Fundamental for Beginners” programme during the year 2012.

The participants got the opportunity of learning about aircraft landing gear systems through lectures, videos and practical exercises.  The session ended with a field work to test the knowledge they gained through the programme and a certificate awarding ceremony.

The Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Commanding Officer of No 08 Transport Squadron Wing Commander Sidath Marambe and Staff of the SLAF Museum were also present at the certificate awarding ceremony.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
