Helitours Facilitates Conveyance of Sacred Relics to Weerawila

The Kesha Dhathu (sacred relics) of the Load Buddha was airlifted from Gangarama temple Colombo to SLAF Unit Weerawila on a chartered Helitours MI 17 Helicopter last Saturday (2nd November 2013).
 
Member of Parliament Hon. Namal Rajapaksha accompanied the sacred relic and after a brief Sethpirith chanting ceremony, the sacred relic was conveyed by a specially decorated vehicle to be displayed at Thissamaharama Temple.

The Commanding Officer Group Captain MDJ Wasage, Officers, Other rankers and Civilians of the SLAF Unit Weerawila participated in the event. This special religious programme was arranged to celebrate the 71st Birthday of the speaker of the parliament Hon. Chamal Rajapaksha on 2nd November 2013.
