Dayata Sewana National Tree Planting Programme
Sri Lanka Air Force conducted the "DAYATA SEVANA" mass tree planting campaign organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Environment and Renewable Energy Ministry to mark the National Tree Planting Day, coinciding with the 68th Birthday and the assumption of office in the second term of His Excellency, the President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the 15th November 2013.
The Command Welfare Projects Agro Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force facilitated to organize the event in all SLAF establishments scattered around the country. Over 10,000 plants of forestry and fruit varieties were planted at the auspicious time of 1003 hrs on last Friday.
