A traditional "Guest Night" was held at the Officers' Mess, SLAF Base Katunayake on 03rd January 2014.

This traditional event was held to host Group Captain Wasantha Amarakoon, Wing Commander Bandula Priyakantha, Wing Commander Sarada Mavitagama and Squadron Leader Sujeewani Punchihetti who have recently retired from the service and also to maintain the Air Force customs and traditions.

Air Commodore Sudarshana Pathirana, the Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The President of Mess Committee of the Officers' Mess Katunayake Group Captain Dushyantha Ratnayake and other Officers with their spouses added colour to this glamorous event with their participation.
