The inter-unit hockey championship, a competitive sporting activity in the annual sporting calendar was held last evening (14 December 2009) at the SLAF Station Ekala sports grounds. After much participation of a majority of SLAF establishments, SLAF Station Ekala managed to beat SLAF Base China Bay 04 goals to 01.

The Director of Welfare, Air Commodore Rohitha Ranasingha graced the occasion as the chief guest.
