Annual Pirith Chanting and Alms Giving Ceremony at SLAF Academy China Bay
The Annual Pirith Chanting and the Alms Giving ceremony was held at the Academy Premises on 08 and 09 February 2014 under the patronage of the Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay, Air Commodore Sagara Kotakadeniya.
Religious rituals of the Pirith Chanting and the Alms Giving were conducted by Ven. Sadathissa Thero, the Chief incumbent of “Sri Bohdhirajarama” Temple China Bay.
The ceremony was made colourful with a pageant at the commencement and blessings were invoked for the Commander of the Air Force, those who laid down their lives for the motherland, those wounded in action, all serving personnel of SLAF, ex-servicemen and for the betterment and future endeavours of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
