Courtesy call of GOC-In-C, Indian Army Southern Command, Lt Gen. Ashok Singh
The GOC-In-C , Southern Army Command, Indian Army Lieutenant General Ashok SinghPVSM,SM,VSM, made a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force on 19 Feb 14 at AirForce Headquarters. The Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal KA Gunatilleke welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Commander who was away from Office. The visiting General and the Chief Of Staff discussed matters of mutual interest. General Singh reiterated that the visit underscores the historic ties and friendly cooperation between the two forces.
At the end of the visit, the Chief Of Staff and the visiting General exchanged mementoes to mark the occasion. General Singh entered his thoughts in the Visitors Book prior to his departure from Air Force Headquarters.
The General’s visit was part of his 5-day goodwill visit to Sri Lanka which began on Tuesday 18th Feb. Major General SR Soni -MGGS (Ops), Southern Army Command, Indian Army was also part of the delegation.
