Press Conference of the Sigiriya Rally Cross 2014
The Press Conference of the Sigiriya Rally Cross 2014 was held this evening (18th March 2014) at the at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium.
The Sigiriya Rally Cross organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Autosports Drivers Association will be held at the SLAF Racing Track in Sigiriya on 23rd May 2014 for the 6th consecutive year. The proceeds from this event will go towards SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit to be utilized for welfare of SLAF personnel.
The main sponsor of this event is CEAT and the Principal sponsor is Bank of Ceylon. Stafford Motors, E- Tel ,Peoples Bank and Etisalat will co-sponsor the event whilst Cargills , Coca Cola, Kist-Knuckles water bottles and Keels Foods remain the Service providers for the event.
The electronic media (TV) partner is the Rupavahini Corporation, the Electronic media sponsor (Radio) is ABC Networks and the Print media sponsor is Associated Newspapers Ceylon Limited. The event will be telecast live on Channel Eye.
During the press conference, the main sponsor and the co-sponsors handed over the sponsorship cheques to the Chairman Motor Racing, AirCommodore JSI Wijemanne. The Secretary Motor Racing Gp Capt CHR Soysa, Secretary Air Force Sports Council Wing Commander Padman Costa, representatives from the sponsors and several Senior and Junior Officers were also present at the conference.
